Development and production of an eCall switch for motorcycle handlebars with integrated communication unit

As a control unit with a pushbutton and cover flap, the eCall switch enables an emergency call to be set up manually in the event of an accident as well as direct communication with the person affected. The system is used in a wide range of models. In addition to the SOS button, a communication unit consisting of a loudspeaker and microphone has been integrated into the eCall switch, which is mounted directly in the motorcycle handlebar's field of vision.

To ensure that the eCall switch operates reliably in case of an emergency, high demands are placed on its construction and manufacturing. Among other methods of production, our special synthetic resin casting process is used for the eCall switch. With our modern manufacturing and testing equipment, we also meet the highest standards for quality and process reliability in electronics production.
