dguard honored with the MOTORRAD Innovation Award 2021
As part of the annual readers' poll held by the magazine "MOTORRAD," a prize is also awarded for outstanding technical innovations in the motorcycle sector under the title "Innovation Award". This year, the "Innovation Award" focused on the topic of intelligent emergency call systems. Digades was honored for the development of the fully automatic "dguard" motorcycle emergency call system. The system can be installed as a retrofit solution in almost all motorcycles and reliably detects accidents involving motorcyclists. Unlike smartphone-based solutions, a module with an integrated SIM chip for the 2G network is installed in the vehicle. Via a direct connection to the nearest rescue coordination center, help can thus be summoned to the scene of an accident as quickly as possible.
Am 29. März 2021 durfte Geschäftsführer Tim Berger die Auszeichnung stellvertretend für Digades als Preisträger entgegennehmen. Die MOTORRAD-Leserwahl, benannt nach dem gleichnamigen Fachmagazin, wird vom Verlag Motor Presse Stuttgart veranstaltet. Eine Jury wählt die Preisträger des Innovation Awards aus. Für die Bewertung kommen dabei nicht nur der technische Fortschritt, sondern auch der Nutzwert, Sicherheitsaspekte sowie die mögliche Verbreitung in den Motorrädern zum Tragen.
