Restart from the Crisis: Digades GmbH Moves Forward with New Strength

The past months have been a time of major change for digades GmbH. After economic setbacks and intensive restructuring, the company can now look to the future with renewed strength. Thanks to a successful investor process, insolvency was overcome, and a solid foundation for a fresh start was established. More than 90 jobs were preserved—an achievement made possible by the dedication of the entire team.

2024 was a year of great upheaval. To remain financially viable, drastic cost reductions and the downsizing of one-third of the workforce were necessary. However, these measures were not enough, leading digades GmbH to file for self-administered insolvency. While the restructuring process progressed, another setback followed: one of the company’s key customers also filed for insolvency, requiring further adjustments to the restructuring plan.

New Investor, New Perspectives
By the end of 2024, Digades GmbH was at a crossroads. A targeted search for a strategic investor was intensified – with success. In a short period, a strong partner was secured, providing both financial and strategic support to the company.

With the restart in February 2025, the company name remains unchanged, but the foundation is renewed. A significant portion of the workforce has been retained, and Digades GmbH continues to focus on its core competencies in developing and producing electronic components for the automotive sector. At the same time, the restart opens new opportunities to acquire additional customers and further strengthen competitiveness.

Focusing on the Future
A restart also means focusing on the essentials. As part of the restructuring, the consumer business was completely discontinued – products like dguard, dfreeeze, and the TILSBERK Head-Up Display are now part of the past.

Additionally, we had to part ways with valued colleagues. These personnel cuts were necessary to secure the future of Digades GmbH. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all current and former employees for their valuable work and dedication.
